Ashley Rose Reeves // Utah Commercial Photographer

Every month I work with Ashley Rose Reeves on her food images for her Instagram and for some of the clients that are sponsoring her. It’s been SO much fun working with her and her ability to see beauty in food. I met Ashley several years ago when she modeled for a company I was photographing for. She was in need of a photographer for her extended family. If I remember right this was like 3 years ago, maybe? From there we were in and out of each other’s lives but mostly I would photograph her other family members! Who would have thought that one extended family session would bring a TON of clients to me. Around the end of Fall of last year, I started getting into food photography. It’s been a huge learning curve along the way. And I would be selfish if I didn’t tell you that my best friend Emily taught me everything there is to know about food styling. She is pure genius I tell you! As I got better at styling I started to get seen by other people, one of which is Ashley. She has a huge food styling reputation! She is good at it and even has a course (how cool is that).

Anyway, so when she asked if I was interested in working and styling for her, I was THRILLED! In fact, I was star struck because she is just so wonderful and popular. I mean have you seen her Instagram? She is incredible! I love the ideas that she comes up with and being able to collaborate with her. And by collaborate I don’t mean like a trade work type thing. I feel like Instagram has kind of ruined the definition of collaboration (or maybe I am just being crazy).
