A sweet brand new baby in the studio is my favorite things, it really is such a sweet time of life for the family. It also is a time of great learning but I think through that learning, a deeper love is formed. I love the new love that I was able to capture for this family. AND this family is dear to me because Caitlin and I share the same best friend! Caitlin's childhoods best friend is my college best friend. Such a small world and I love that we share that commonality.

Read MoreWe visited Washington at the end of May. While we were there I was able to capture the Barber family and it was such a delight! I was able to capture this family initially when they had their first son, Owen and to be able to capture them again is wonderful. It really was perfectly well timed. I was so glad that we were visiting at the time that Ian was born. Owen was such a good older brother and you can tell he loves Ian. Having that kind of love is so lovely in the beginning. I am sure the Barbers are feeling blessed.

Although Oliver was a newborn only a few months before taking these. But I still think it's different. And Oliver is to die for! He really is such a cute kid. When I got home and showed my husband he said "they have a pretty cute kid". He doesn't say stuff like that very often, so you know he means it.
